The denomination Pomodorino of Corbara or Corbarino stands for the ecotype Corbarino's berries which is cultivated on the slope of Monti Lattari mountains where the little village of Corbara is located.

THE CULTIVATION METHODS ARE THE OLD AND TRADITIONAL ONES, THAT GIVE THE SPECIFIC CHARACTERISTICS OF QUALITY TO THESE TOMATOES.

The plants grow vertically with the support of a framework of stakes made of wood poles and steel wires. Since there are no fountains, and it is very hard to carry water on the terraced hills, the plants are irrigated only by the rain.

The Small Tomato of Corbara comes from Monti Lattari slopes, near the famous Vesuvio volcano, where Corbara's city hall is situated.

It has always been cultivated on these hills without an irrigation system. It is characterized by a low acidity and a high sugar level that make it particularly precious and tasty.
