Island Creek Razor Clams in Chili Garlic and Oil

Similar to the beginning of a captivating tale, Island Creek's story unfolds with the convergence of a mariscadora (a shellfish harvester) and a seafarer. The founders, Angel Costas and Floriano Miñan, first crossed paths while working at a now-defunct cannery. Costas, a meticulous accountant, diligently managed the company's financial records, while Miñan, drawing upon his extensive knowledge of local seafood, served as the cannery's procurer. In a prescient move during the year 1966, sensing their employer's imminent descent into bankruptcy, Costas and Miñan bravely departed from the sinking ship and embarked on their own venture. Island Creek represents the proprietary line of preserved seafood created exclusively for the cannery.
